Proper arrangements for garbage disposal and modern lavatories in hills-CM

The survey work for Master plan for Gangotri, Yamunotri and other towns of Tehri and Uttarkashi districts has been going on. Professional companies with proven track record of giving good results are being shortlisted for construction of modern lavatories and better garbage management in towns and cities of hilly areas. A policy decision regarding construction and management of parking places in hill towns will be taken in the state cabinet soon. The work to improve the quality of roads in Tehri and Uttarkashi districts has been going on and likely to be completed by June 2019.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat taking cognizance of problem of garbage management in hilly towns strictly instructed all the district magistrates to ensure arrangements for effective garbage disposal systems. Chief Minister while announcing Muni-ki- Reti as a tourist spot instructed that roads be widened at the earliest keeping in view the problems of traffic faced by tourists and providing them with better facilities.

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat through video conferencing reviewed the progress of the announcements made by him for the assembly constituencies of Tehri and Uttarkashi districts. Uttarakhand cabinet minister Madan Kaushik, Subodh Uniyal, incharge minister of Uttarkashi/Tehri Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, legislators namely Gopal Singh Rawat, Shakti Lal Shah, Vijay Singh Panwar, Vinod Kandari, Preetam Singh Panwar, Rajkumar, Kedar Singh Rawat, Dhan Singh Negi, Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh,senior officials of the administration, district magistrates of Tehri and Uttarkashi along with other district level officers were present in the meeting.
