Dateline Dehradun: Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Jolly Grant, marked a significant milestone with the successful execution of the inaugural edition of TEDx-SRHU, organized by the School of Management Studies (SMS). Centered around the theme “The Spark Within,” the landmark event brought together nine trailblazing speakers from diverse fields—including emerging technology, social entrepreneurship, media, aviation, sports, and corporate leadership—to share transformative personal journeys, insights, and actionable lessons with the university community.
Presiding over the occasion, SRHU President Dr. Vijay Dhasmana highlighted that every major societal shift begins with a single idea. Emphasizing that young minds harbor infinite potential, he noted that “The Spark Within” serves as more than just a thematic slogan; it acts as a call to action for students to align their inherent strengths with national and social progress.
SRHU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rajendra Dobhal remarked that platforms like TEDx extend learning beyond traditional curricula, granting students rare access to real-world challenges, leadership lessons, and lived achievements. Outlining the vision behind the initiative, SMS Director Dr. Taruna Gautam shared that TEDx provides an ideal space to amplify ideas that broaden perspectives and foster innovative thinking.
